Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?

Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.

Put very simply, we ask you not to refer to any other individuals by name when you complete your reflections or posts during your studies.

For this activity you will be identifying and spending time in ways that bring rest and regeneration to mind, body and soul. There are many different ways to achieve this: well known ones include time in nature; walking, gardening, time spent being creative; cooking for pleasure, playing an instrument, arts and crafts, time spent being active; swimming, playing sport, exploring new places.

Using a time-line or mind-map, chart/ map the key moments and people in your life in relation to sport, church and faith.

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
